Also present:- Martin Blair, Northern Constabulary

1. Minutes of last meeting - Proposed SB and seconded AJ.

2. Slate Monument – all moving to conclusion well.

3. Fireworks / Bonfire night – hall booked for earlier Saturday in November – further consideration to be given to date as later Saturday was perhaps better. Storage for bonfire equipment likely to be available in container to be sited in Highland Council yard. Requesting financial support for purchase of same from councilors.

4. Community Council – ongoing search for new members

5. Speeding Buses & Cars – still waiting council response, MB confirmed support for community council views.

6. A82 Works –the chairman confirmed we had met with Bob Mitchell of Transport Scotland who appeared to take all our views onboard, but has subsequently proceeded as earlier planned and ignored our views completely. Slip road into Ballachulish at the arches is to be removed and the cycle path is to go straight past the village rather than through it. Action – send open letter to Bob Mitchell to conform our views further.

7. Abbeyfield parking / planning issues – ALCC reckon these are solely Ballachulish issues but we have concerns that important issues like leasing council property to third parties is not being discussed/communicated properly eg leasing the tourist office car park to the Co-op when the store may not now even go ahead.

8. New Co-operative Shop & Public Car Park at Village Hall – Yet to meet with store management, but will do so when occasion suits – called off before due to transport/weather problems

9. Roadworks in village – some patching been done, frost damage given as an excuse for poor surfaces. Albert Road is still to be scarified/repaired.

10. Finances – minor eroor with bank charges sorted out & credited. Invoices to be sent out for website advertising with letter explaining benefits/web visits etc

11. Boatsheds –Laurence Young is chasing up Historic Scotland to ascertain the way forward. Still waiting for previous poor works to be corrected.

12. Outdoor Capital Noticeboards – should be erected this month – now also getting a board in Glencoe Village and at the Glencoe Ski Centre
