26 October 2009Ballachulish Slate Quarriers' Medical Committee 
It has been agreed by the community council that the Slate Monument and the area will be dedicated to someone who has worked unselfishly for the good of Ballachulish Village, both Dr. L Grant and Mr Anugs Clark, who were both involved with the infamous strike in the slate quarry in the 1900's have been chosen.
Work is being carried out around this area, which include four picnic benches with related paths, so as to create an area for both local and visitors to enjoy.
